Significant Works of TBM Pipe Jacking
Three sections of dia. 2100mm steel Pipe Jacking Works with the lengths 30m, 90m and 130m respectively at Cornwall Street and o/s Chuk On Estate by using TBM1800DHI. Along the alignments, the geological conditions were complex, vary between hard rock, residual soil and weathered rock.
The ground condition of some critical areas throughout the planned path was complicated - The upper part was residual soil with low strength and the lower part was hard rock with very high resistance to TBM driving propulsion. This complex situation requires high technical level by the experienced operator. Otherwise, Boring Machine could be stumbled against the deflection of target.
