Main Components
1. Horizontal Directional Drilling Rig provides propulsion and torque.
2. Drill rods linked together to form a drill string for advancing the drill bit and for pulling back reamers (including bits, reamers, swivels and pulling head) and pipes/cables.
3. Transmitter and Receiver for tracking the location of dill.
4. Tanks for mixing and holding the drilling fluid.
5. Pumps for circulating the drilling fluid (drilling fluid is used throughout the operation to transport drilled spoil, reduce friction, stabilize the hole).
