Slurry Shield TBM
The Slurry Sheid TBM is most suitable for excavating soils with an unstable tunnel or high water pressure. A Slurry System is equipped with the TBM which controls the pressure in the excavation face by injecting pressurized slurry into the Cutter Chamber. The slurry then mixed with the excavated material and pumped out of the tunnel to a separation and recirculation plant.
