Micro Tunnel Boring Machine (MTBM)
Micro Tunnel Boring Machine is used to excavate tunnels with a circular cross-section (pipeline) through a variety of soil and rock strata with its disc cutter on the cutter head. They can bore through hard rock, sand and almost anything in between.
The application of MTBM technology to milling depends heavily on the selection of most suitable cutting tools referring to the rock and ground conditions. Tunnel diameters can be ranged from 450mm to 3000mm.
